- 2004-08-28: Added RSS feeds. Guess I am going to have to add an RSS feed to these news items soon as well :)
- 2004-08-08: Webcomics Collector 0.7.0 released (Changelog). Lots of new stuff, amongst others, better logging support, dynamic referer support, custom user-agent and a bunch of features that allow collecting comics like Little Gamers and has 258 supported comics. Be aware that this is a devel release! Want something stabel? Then use 0.5!
- 2004-08-08: Updated design to coincide with the 0.7.0 release! New documentation is online and current for 0.7.0.
- 2004-07-28: Webcomics Collector 0.5.3 released (Changelog). Features 101 supported comics, a bunch of bugfixes and static referer support.
- 2004-07-27: We just passed Dosage - Collector now supports 229 comics! Watch out Dailystrips, we'er gonna catch up to you soon! :)
- 2004-07-24: Just reached 100 comics definitions in the devel branch in SVN! Dosage knows 222 and Dailystrips knows 339, so we're still a bit behind, but we're going full throttle in the race of which script handles most comics! :)
- 2004-07-23: Okay, it's official, I have gone megalomanic! I have setup a mailing list for those interested in Webcomics Collector (and Collectorweb). Both users and developers. So if you use Webcomics Collector, come and join the list and say "hi".
- 2004-07-22: I am currently working on some better documentation and am about halfway through making docbook documentation for Collector. Will make docbook documentation for Collectorweb afterwards. Development is speeding along very quickly, perhaps I should consider adding a mailing list soon :)
- 2004-07-21: Collectorweb 0.3.4 released. I found out that the 0.3.3 package was somewhat broken and screwed up, so I fixed those things and added a few lines to the INSTALL file. If you have 0.3.3 running there is no need to upgrade!
- 2004-07-18: Webcomics Collector 0.5.2 released (Changelog). An irritating bug in the handling of download errors had sneaked in, sorry about that.
- 2004-07-18: Webcomics Collector 0.5.1 released (Changelog)
- 2004-07-18: Webcomics Collector is now in Portage (Gentoo's package management system)
- 2004-07-14: Added a Help Wanted section to the site, if you are thinking about contributing, please read that section first.
- 2004-07-13: Collectorweb 0.3.3 was announced on Freshmeat - had to start somewhere. From now on Collectorweb releases will of course also be announced there.
- 2004-07-11: Version 0.5.0 announced on Freshmeat, from now on all new releases will be announced on Freshmeat. If anybody wants to know when new releases are made, just go and subscribe to the project on Freshmeat.
- 2004-07-10: Version 0.5.0 released. Comics.cfg has been renamed to comics.def, which (along with the new comics.classes) is now included in the tarball making seperate download of comics.def unneccesary. The 0.5.x releases will present a (hopefully) stable branch to allow real deployment while development continues on the HEAD branch.
- 2004-07-03: We now have a bugtracker (bugs.skumleren.net) and a Subversion repository (svn.skumleren.net) up and running to aid development.
- 2004-06-18: Webcomics Collecter 0.4.0 released. A bunch of small changes and some new features: Webcomic types: the types "search" and "lateststatic" exist and these have covered my needs so far. Support for HTTP referer has now been added for those webcomics that require a referer to allow downloading strip-images. Remember to download a comics.cfg dated 2004-06-18 or later as earlier ones will not work with Collector 0.4.0.
- 2004-06-15: Collectorweb 0.2.0 released. Added a bunch of new features and cleared up some bugs.
- 2004-06-13: This page went online.
